Hello,

I cannot say you will hear the system you are trying to monitor better with the Wilson Yagi. However, Wilson makes a very good Yagi, which I use regularly to monitor 800 MHz systems with good distance from the QTH. I also use Wilson's NMO mount cellular antenna for mobile use. I would use their products, no questions asked.

I don't now what antenna you're currently using, but if you're getting any signal now, this should definitely improve it. Make sure it's pointed toward your signal source, and mount it at a reasonable height. Use good quality low loss coax and you should be all set. If it's for receive only, then a good quality RG6 will do.

I just bought one from ebay paid $32.00 shipped. I have not had a chance to put it up yet but just connecting it to the scanner in my basement I get 2 to 3 bars so I imagine it will only be better mounted up high.
