Question Good indoor antenna for trunkin system?

I have been reading and reading all the information on this site, but am still at a loss as to what kind of antenna to get to enable me to receive the trunking system in my area. I am right at the fringe. I have a Uniden 396T and I bought the 800 Mhz Radio Shack antenna to see if it would help. It did a little bit, now I can actually see the groups locking in but I am still not receiving voice (or periodic intermittent voice). I walk around the house like an idiot holding up the radio everywhere trying to get reception. Can anyone recommend an easy to install indoor antenna that may work? I am absolutely clueless as to antennas and would welcome advice. An antenna for dummies would work....
