Default Longwire and R20

Received an ICOM R20 for Christmas. I would like to hook up a longwire for the HF bands to receive. Is there someone out there that knows how to convert a BNC connector, or has done one, that you could hook up a long wire to to accomplish what I want to do. I'm sure there is something out there that I am not thinking of or visualizing how to do it. Hope someone can help.

What connector is on the end of your feed from your long wire now? If PL259 then you will need an PL259 to BNC adapter.

I have nothing yet. Want to set up a portable antenna for the R20 to pick up HF things.

When I had my R20, I just used a telescoping antenna with a random length of wire alligator clipped to it. It worked reasonably well.
