AR-DV1 vs AOR5000

Greetings

Question for those of you who have a AR-DV1 and hasor had a AOR5000. How does the AR-DV1 compare in performance primarily in the VHF and UHF area.
I am on the fence about purchasing a AR-DV1, but I still have my AOR5000 that still rocks. Thanks in advance for all replies.

Are you entended to decode digital wave form? If so have a look on DV1 features!
AR5000 is only IQ and APCO25.

Yes, but I can use DSD+ for digital decode. I'm more interested in receiver performance. Thank you for your reply

Having had both, stick with the AR5K. It is head and shoulders above the DV1 IMHO, but it is intended to be. I view the DV1 as being more akin to the AR8600 line of receivers, good in and of themselves for the most part but nowhere near as good as the AR5K. And as you mentioned, disc tap out to DSD+ and you've got it all. You're not toting around the AR5K anyway, so it might as well be tethered to a PC for digital decoding.
