Default band selection on 8200

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but for the purposes of scanning frequencies listed here in the database as being FM, should I select the WFM, SFM or NFM option on the 8200?

NFM should be what you want to use.

Jerri,

Thanks for your response. Bear with me, because I'm new at this, but what would you use all these other modes for? This thing has modes I've not seen before: WFM,NFM,SFM,WAM,NAM. The explanations in the manual leave a lot to be desired.
