Default Original AR8200

I'm considering purchasing a used AR8200 (not the MK2 or MK3). I've heard that the dynamic range and sensitivity were poor and were upgraded in the MK2 and MK3 models. Just how bad are they in the original (green) AR8200?

Can someone who has used the original version comment on the dynamic range, sensitivity, and intermod rejection?

Frank

Default ar8200

Frank,
I had the original green one, and what a dog that was, intermod, the signal meter didn't drop when transmission ended. backlight wasn't too bright., etc.

Now I have the mark 3 and boy is it night and day!!! no intermod, the cleanest receive of any scanner I ever owned.

hope this helps.

Bob
