AR-8200MKIII Battery Low Icon Mod

I seem to remember seeing somewhere and performing a mod to eliminate the battery low icon on this radio. If memory serves, it comes on a bit earlier than necessary and prematuraly shuts down the radio. Did I dream this or is there such a mod? Mods.dk did not list one...and a Google search turned up nothing as well.
