Default AR8000 repair?

I have a non-functional AR8000 scanner which I believe is inoperative due to a broken battery compartment. Does anyone know of a place or person that would do a repair for this unit (obviously well past any type of warranty date)?

Thanks.

I've had repairs done on my AOR 8000 in california from AOR themselves.
I would give them a call as it's been a few years since i've used them
and i'm not sure of there status, they did do a good job of repairing my unit ,twice though.

Cool Repair of AR8000

I agree...Call AOR. They fixed my AR1000 (Yes.. ONE thousand) about 2 years ago. Did it fast too.

I just sent off a 8200 for a broken display. Emailed me back the same day they got the unit $123 and 2 weeks wait time. They had to get the part shipped from Japan.

Default AOR in Torrance,Ca

Ive always spoken with Taka at AOR US snd best service I've ever had.
He fixed a misaligned wobbly tuning knob my AOR 5000a+3 buy whe it came back I was stiill unhappy with so much play in the knob. i called, he was very nice about it and the next day I had a brand new 5000. He alo recalibrated my AR8200mkiii whichbwas overloading badly in AM broadcast.
Hes a senior engineer snd i call with questjons somtimes. He explains well and seems happy to help.
Hope the AR8000 is fixed for you now. I loved mine.
