Haven't come across a 2002 that displays freqs offset by 10KHz and it's unlikley that you can do anything about it. There is no buysenware for the 3000/3000a but there is/were quite a few other packages.

Web crawlers are wonderful things:

and a whole host of others

Yes there are others...mostly defunct and long gone or else stupidly expensive pieces of software aimed at government usage.

There is a procedure here that describes how to do an AR2002 frequency alignment.
A couple of other good tips for the radio are shown as well:

I was well aware of the procedure but very much doubt the OP has the equipment or technical knowledge to be fooling around inside the radio!

You are wrong. At present according to your post the display is offset by 10KHz. It's not difficult to adjust your working to accomodate this. If you start adjusting the alignment it is extremely unliikely that you will get it back to the original correct alignment without the correct equipment.
If you just start to adjust things then you are likley to end up with a totally useless radio and highly unlikley to be able to adjust back to your pre-meddling state.

Your money and your choice of course.
