Clark Co FD is working a two alarm fire at 7000 East Russell Road. Zone 3 Tac 6 and Zone 3 Tac 8 are the tac channels assigned to this incident. The TGIDs' are 42032 and 42096. The LVMPD is now deploying a command post at the incident.

This fire is a very large brush fire and Nellis AFB is sending a large water tanker.

KLAS TV Channel 8 has very good live aerial coverage of the incident.

The fire is putting up a very large column of black smoke easily seen from most parts of the valley.

The burning area is known as the Desert Wetlands Park.

Yep. I can see this one from up here at Nellis AFB. It will be interesting to find out what caused this one.

Evacuations

According to the PIO with the LVMPD some evacuations have begun of some of the homes in the area.
