Las Vegas Freqs

Greetings,
I am going to Vegas in a few weeks and will be staying in a hotel on the strip. I was checking the RR and it appeared that Metro Police were still operating on conventual frequencies. I just wanted to verify that to be correct and get any other suggestions on frequencies I should monitor while on the strip.

That is correct. Metro is still operating on the conventional VHF frequencies found here in the database.

Las Vegas city and Clark County fire are on the Clark County system: http://radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&sid=669

Other than that, the choice is entirely yours because there is so much stuff to listen to here. I just provided a few things I listen to.

I was in Vega$ in January. There is an amazing amount of traffic on the PD VHF channels. But I also programmed Clark County, Nevada HP, and a few other things. I've you'ge got a PRO-95 and want a p95 file, let me know and I'll send you mine.

I'll be driving down to LV from Reno 4/17, not sure yet if I'll be going via 395 or 95 (most likely 95). This will be the first time I'll have a scanner along (pro-97). I'll be in LV for about a week so if anyone has a pro-97 or pro-96 file that would be great! I've got a very good Reno file (pro-97) if anyone needs one. Interested in the usual stuff, plus maybe anything that may be helpfull for the drive down 95 or 395. Thanks!
