I just recieved my PSR-300 Triple Trunking scanner, I purchased the scanner to listen mainly to

Coral Springs TRS:

http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=209

The City of Tamarac is patrolled by Broward County SO (District 7):

http://www.sheriff.org/about_bso/dle/districts/d7/

now both these links look like greek to me, what frequencies do i put in? all of them? the ones in red?

Also is there a better instruction manual for the PSR-300? because this one is confusing as heck

On Broward Co. I guess you meant this link http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=212
All you really need are the frequencies in Red, for Broward try entering the ones listed in the Primary site.
Coral Springs will be no problem. Broward is a mixed system so Talkgroups listed with the Mode of D you can't listen too.
These 2 links will help since the PSR-300 is really an updated Pro-97
Programming Shortcuts http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Programming_Shortcut_Pro-97
Easier to read manual http://myweb.cableone.net/marksscanners/97/97.html
Software would make programming easier, unfortunately the updated Win97 software hasn't been released yet,

k for coral springs i followed the direction.....

If system is Motorola Type II, EDACS or LTR start with Programming section, if Motorola
Type I or IIi, set the fleetmap in the last section prior to Programming.

Storing known trunked frequencies
1. Press MANual, Press three digits to get the bank and channel number desired then Press
MANual again. (Upper left should read Mxxx for your bank and channel number)
2. Press PGM, (upper left should change from M to P)
3. Press TRUNK
4. Press MODE to Mot/ED*/LT* depending on system.
5. Press PGM
6. Enter the frequency
7. Press Enter
8. Repeat steps 5 through 8 until all frequencies are entered in selected bank.
* EDACS & LTR systems must be programmed in Logical Channel Number (LCN) order.
* Be sure to begin programming EDACS or LTR frequencies in channel 1 not channel 0.
Leave channel 0 blank.
Note: if frequency Alpha Tags are desired, use step 3 through 5 in Storing known Text Tags
below between step 7 & 8 above.

and i put in 867.30000* 867.55000* 868.62500* 868.87500* but it doesnt seem to work....coral springs broadcasts their police radios over the internet and i hear nothing on my scanner while i hear alot on internet

Coral Springs internet link http://coralsprings.com/scanner/welcome.htm

Press manual and go through all 4 frequencies manually, make sure the Mode is set to MOT. If you hear the control channel, it will be making a noise, sort of like an idling engine. If you hear that press Scan.

If you hear the noise all you have to do is press Scan. It will lock onto the Control Channel and track the system. Make sure the bank is to open a + will be under the number.

What else is programmed in. When to go to manual do you see these frequencies when you manually go through the frequencies.
I think you might have to initialize the radio and start from scratch
When you hit scan make sure you only press the scan button for a fraction of a second.

That loud noise is the Control Channel, the radio isn;t set for trunking. The Mode needs to be set as MOT
