Monitoring demonstrations 7/15/16

Does anyone have recommendations of what and how to monitor police and fire management of tonight's multiple demonstrations. There are reportedly demonstrations scheduled for Phoenix 16th St & Jefferson, 24th St & Camelback, and also in Tempe.

Monitor DPS especially if they threaten to shut down freeways. Phoenix PD was on an encrypted talkgroup last time, and might be the same this time. Monitor RWC G Deck and L deck if they planned ahead for interop activities. If fire is staging for the event, check the Fire Cad page to see channel assignment. They usually stage on K2 unless there is and interop channel planned. Medical calls will be on normal K Decks unless they have an interop channel ready. Tempe will either be on normal dispatch channels, one of their event channels or interop if they are allocating officers to control.

During last week's events, was helicopter - either PPD or the general channel - interesting?

I only caught the end of it last time. DPS was interesting as they were prepping to stop traffic on freeways if necessary. I didn't hear much on PPD main dispatch channels.

Tempe PD is on RWC interop G2.

Phoenix PD C7 is very active and a little on Interop H11 (both encrypted). I'm guessing Phoenix PD protest is on one or both of these channels of these channels. We won't be hearing much of the Phoenix PD activities.

Interop H16 and DPS talkgroup 2191 on the RWC (both encrypted) are both quite active with DPS radio IDs. DPS involvement might be on one or both of these channels.
