BCTools

I have been having issues with my BCtools lately getting access to the premium section of this site. I was wondering if anyone can post there BCtool files they use on there scanner so that we can all try them out? Is there another software that I should use instead one that I can import from this site?

Chris, you need to be a premium subscriber to get access to the databases and so on. On the blue toolbar under the logo, look to the far right, float your mouse over about and click on Premium Subscription.

However, I'd say FreeScan is better (anything in blue is a link). Poor Rob has been swamped with his paying job, and hasn't been able to do any upgrades to BCTool (note singular) in a very long time. FreeScan is undergoing constant development; it's free, and can also access the databases on this site with a premuim subscription. We have FreeScan's user guide in our wiki

Thanks! I was a premium subscriber but let it lapse because I wasnt able to get bctool to work. Ill try the other prog you suggest as well.

I'm a premium subscriber and can no longer get bctool to work. I keep getting the error "no root element found in xml". I guess I will try free scan. Hmm, not coming up a premium subscriber...better check that out, I use to be!

Yeah, BCTool was never upgraded after the XML shutdown. Your icon as a premium subscriber is there, so you should have little trouble. By the way we have the user manual in our wiki.

I agree with the poster who suggested FreeScan. I used BCTool before switching to FreeScan, and wish I had heard about it sooner.
