mcso spcl details talkgroup ?
I'm looking for some talkgroup info for MCSO surveillance ops, both analog and digital talkgroups.
#1. I was seeing on the 'MCSO Phoenix police' stream an analog surveillance operation with the tag MCSO spcl 4 or something similar but the displayed talkgroup ID is bouncing around so much that I'd like to know what the TG # really is.
#2. I'm also seeing a digital surveillance on the same MCSO system pop up from time to time with the tag SWAT, what's this TG # ?

The one that is popping up for SWAT is 43088 and SURV 4 I have as 43920. These are what SWFD10 has I think. Or I got from another members WIN500 file, I can't remember.

Thanks for those Tg's I'll give those a try next time I'm down there, I do my radio programming up here on the PC at home and just wanted the radio already set up next time I'm down there.
I'd rather not have to do the programming from the radios keypad.

If they're not what they are tagged as I'd like to know. I've been recording the past week or so since I got a new HD and tomorrow I plan on going through and listening to the stuff to confirm what they are.

The tags are showing up fine, I was just interested in the actual numerical decimal or hex talkgroup number which wasn't coming across.
I have been using a commercial radio programmed for conventional, non trunking, P25 talkgroups with all of the voice channels for Tempe's 700 system and Phoenix PD C DEK TG's and it works great.
I wanted to try the same for MCSO and was only interested in programming in the dispatch and special TG's.
And what I meant in my first post about programming from the radios keypad was that I didn't want to have to use the radios scan nuisance delete to eliminate other talkgroups from my scan list just to hunt and peck to find the interesting SPCL onesf.
I'd rather have the correct talkgroup pre-programmed correctly and matching the alpha tags so that cansimply scan the spcl TG's once I turn the radio on.

mm, can you share some details as to what kind of radio this is, how much it cost, and how you program it? It sounds very interesting.

Found his store, but don't understand the whole flashcode thing. Some radios do 3600 Baud, some 9600... not sure which would work on the RWC in a conventional - talkgroup only mode. Help?
Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not share publicly.

Any one of his radios that does P25 conventional will work and it looks like all of his radios are P25 conventional capable.
Anyone flashcode that starts with a number 1 will do conventional P25.
Don't worry about 3600 baud P16, or 9600 baud P25 trunking, without a system key you won't be able to program any trunk systems anyway so just concentrate on conventional which they all have.

Another question on the same subject.
Does the 'Southwest Frequency Directory' have more updated talkgroup information for the MCSO system as compared to the 'radio reference' data base ?

'Anyone flashcode that starts with a number 1 will do conventional P25"
Can the flashcodes be modified (flashed)?
Edit -
And can I assume the batteries are easily obtained?

I don't know if it's more updated, but it does have some stuff the RR database doesn't have.

Yes if it starts with a 1 it will do conventional IMBE P25. However unless the flashcode starts with a 5 the radio will be missing the G114 option. That is the Digital ID Display. This is what gives you MCD and soft ID for the transmitting radio.
Flashcodes can be changed however this takes the radio to be properly tagged and have a legit serial number to be sent to Motorola for the upgrade. There are people who can flash upgrade these to have the G114 option but they don't really come out and advertise this.
The XTS2500 is a current production model radio so obtaining batteries is pretty easy. I would recommend to anyone that has a XTS line of radios to get the Impress batteries and chargers.

No problem, they are nice radios.
Here is another request for the MCSO system, what are the talkgroup ID#'s for MCSO 'SID Talk' and 'SID 2' which are popping up today, Wed., with lots of traffic ?
Nothing in the radio ref data base really matches these one's and I'm compiling a better list for MCSO.

Thanks, I think it's about time to update the RR data base.
