Default Tucson Foothills ACE Hardware

467.8125 Freq in use by ACE Hardware in the Foothills store...Sunrise & Swan low power HT's so range is limited.. Can hear 2 blocks away. I know the freq as I was told to program the radios. Were using DPL but was advised that it was changed because of interference by another user on freq.

Probably not too surprising since the Catalina Foothills School District is licensed on that frequency. I didn't find anything on ACE in the FCC Database.

Have you verified the useage by ACE on this frequency, including PL/DPL? If you personally can verify it, please submit to the database for entry.

Thanks,

467.8125 <<<< Freq as GIVEN by owners of store

I know the freq ( older radios in use also had this freq) as I was told to program the radio all new Motorola HT's <<<As posted originally

Can hear 2 blocks away. <<<< As posted originally and monitored via scanner. And hearing activity as I type this.

Only activity heard was a construction company ( especially active when re doing Craycroft) and someone else using freq as delivery service ( irrigation supplies) and colorful language more often than not.

Owners are the types to do as they desire. Licensed for the channel? How this Freq was came about? Gotta ask them. They own 4 ACE stores in the area and ALL are using in store HT's.

Never heard ANY school related traffic.

It's a common BB frequency programmed into a lot of BB radio's. For example 467.8125 is frequency #4 in the common Motorola XTN series radios. It wouldn't surprise me that if you didn't set any DPL or PL tones you would hear a lot of traffic.

As POSTED in the original.

I have nothing further to do with this company or there radio issues...Was told by an employee they suddenly were hearing other people on the radios a year after I was out of the loop. Was simply posting the freq info for those who have a need to know who is occupying every freq in the spectrum for there databases. Found it on a scrap of paper punched it in. Voila. It was still active..SO I posted it for Scanning FANATICS who have this need to know all. Did not know it would require lengthy postings.

Don't take it personally.

The questions are asked to clarify the use and reliability of the information. It would be especially the case when the frequency is a shared frequency between multiple licensed entities. As it was pointed out by our fellow scannist, sometimes the frequencies are not necessarily legally used, thus they wouldn't be aware of the interference caused.

The information that you reported hearing does not appear to be related to ACE Hardware, so we wouldn't want to label the frequency as in used by ACE Hardware.

We help each other out as you indicated. That's all

Just curious but was that frequency one of the old "DOT" freqs. I am under the impression that they no longer required a licencse or something to that effect. Not sure where I heard that now.
