Lot of police active

I have been noticing some police active around my house here, than I have decide to get a hand held bear cat UNIDEN | SC230 Handheld Scanner my other hand held scanner just has 200 channels missing a lot of calls from this one.
So far we have guns going off in the nieghbor hood and police helicopter has been buzzing around more lately too.

compare back in pinal county it been kinda of dead there some times there is occation auto accedent or car fip over and evac helicopters transports.

Do you actually live in the city of Phoenix or somewhere that will be analog conventional, or just monitoring DPS?

I live in phoenix Arizona
But I heard the police dept is going digital to the 800 mhz range
Phx police, I tryed the 154 and 155 mhz range it's dead.

You'll need a digital scanner. Yours will not work. Phoenix is on a digital P25 800 system.

most i could afford is 346XT , most of the hand held Digital scanners cost up to $499 to $500 out of my price range

I check it on the price , too much for a digital scanner
$499 to $500 in cost
I can only afford in the $220 price range

I hate it when they charge soo much.

Search craigslist here in the valley, I've seen a PRO-96 go for $100.00 on there. Look in the for sale section of the forums on this website, you might find a deal.

some times I hate bidding because it not a sure thing.
