Just need help getting there new stuff programed in

In still kinda new at this

any help would be great

I don't think the 2096 does 700mhz trunk tracking.

Sorry for not being clear, the 2096 will not receive 700mhz. So you will not be able to hear Peoria with the 2096.

If you want to stick with Radioshack the PRO-106 will do 700mhz, otherwise I believe the Uniden 396t and XT will do 700mhz trunking.

Just to chime in here about peoria-- Unfortunately, you pretty much only get channel 1. They have also changed the way they are "doing radio business". Hot calls have randomly been going to an ENC channel. Units that are not on a certian 'call' are asked to switch to ENC channels for regular traffic. Its still a mess, and not a very efficient way to do it. IMO.

I don't see the point of all the encyption for 'normal' day to day operations.

Definately isn't worth purchasing another scanner for, unless you happen to live in the city. --Even then they took the 'extra' set of eyes away from us...
