Post More Fed Traffic in Northern AZ

Listening to traffic on 171.1875 NAC 710 P25 clear and ECN.

Very strong sig on my 396 (and the 895 that I use to decode NAC, for what its worth) makes me suspect a Mingus Mtn repeater. Also get possible hits on 170.3375 and 172.2375 at the same time in P25, but not able to decode.

Sounds like CBP: Bravo 206, Bravo 207 in the clear in the field calling 850 Robert who is encrypted - using 10 codes similar to CBP ("10-50, 10-51, 10-52, on one" "10-3 that")

Field units on a traffic stop "on I-40 west of Broadway exit" Running status checks on hispanic surnames by control number and mother's last name.

Only I-40/Broadway anywhere near me is Needles. Maybe this is part of a wide area net?

EDIT: Just now requesting 850 to advise CHP that "the vehicle was not seized and will be left on the side of the road..."

So they are in CA and I'm hearing them in Prescott. Kool!

Not since the last post. It's few and far between.

I guess you could go rob a few banks and I could sit on the freq to verify it

I posted this, does it makes any sense to you?:

My notes indicate FBI Phoenix Field Office callsign KEX700. Maybe "700" refers to FO identification. Using the last three callsign numbers to identify a FO or RA has been common FBI pratice.

"700 testing Williams" maybe the FO testing communications using a communications system located at Williams, AZ, west of Flagstaff?

A few years ago, I heard Phoenix FO traffic on 163.9375 and 167.150.

As ecps92 mentioned, if the traffic you are hearing is a control point "700" input to a Vote Select system, you will hear both fixed and mobile traffic repeated on a number of other frequencies.

Yes it actually does. There are several multicast, voted and/or simulcast systems here, so I am familiar with the concept.

I have the "known" DOJ freqs in a group that is active most of the time when I am at work listening. If they were in fact linking to Bill Williams Mtn, I should have heard the repeated traffic. I can hear an 800 trunked system and numerous VHF repeated freqs from Bill Williams with no problem from my work QTH.

My records show FBI on 167.3375 on Mt Elden, which is in Flagstaff proper, a location which I cannot hear from work or home. That may explain why I cannot hear the repeated freqs, or they may be using other to-be-discovered freqs on Bill Williams.

We could coordinate it on a day I'm in Falgstaff...

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll stick to the traditional attempt of trying to obtain cash, gambling. Actually I've had pretty good luck at Cliff Castle. If weather permits, I'll be stopping there in January when I drive to Phoenix from Chicago.
