Looking at the GPS coordinates for Fire Station. It looks like it is south of the mall, west of Purina and North of the freeway.
How about NAU? Try the same thing with NAU. Split up the freq. by Devil's Head and Riley Hall to see if they are both active.

I'm writing a northern Arizona file for my PSR-600 right now. I noticed that the database shows this system with FDMA. I thought only the HP-1 or the GRE-800 receives this type of system. Your posts seem to indicate that a recent scanner such as the 396 or PSR-500 is able to copy this system. Let me know as it will waste time to enter it if I can't receive the system on my 500.

I'm using a BC796D which is almost 8 years old and it picks up everything in Northern Arizona fine...even the new P25 system. My Pro-106 (same as the PSR-500) picks up everything as well.

As of this morning, The Riley site is now online. I am running pro96com on the system as I write this and will submit the results to the database admin.

Just to follow-up on this thread....

We'll be up in Flag next month, should I bother to program in the old Flag analog system, or has all the traffic been moved to the new P25 one?

I am in Flagstaff right now, seems like all the traffic is on the new system.

Thanks! I am guessing the NAU system is still on line, but probably only used by staff now (non LEO traffic), so will keep that one in the scanner.

All NAU radio traffic including non police and City PD are on P25 now. Analog is no longer used.

Wow, thanks, Chad!

I guess that makes for 2 analog trunked systems (old Flag and NAU) that are unused? I wont bother to program them into the PSR600 then.

Default Any More Talk Groups Heard?

Hi All.

I'm going to be in Flagstaff this weekend. Has anyone heard additional Talk Groups used by either Flag PD or NAU PD that haven't been posted on RR yet?

Thanks.

Default New TGIDs

Good morning, all.

Hearing several new TGIDs on the Flagstaff RPSCS now. Sounds like fire and EMS-related traffic, though I'm not sure if they are running an exercise or a real-world response.

New TGIDs: 8100, 8101, 8202, 8204.

The bulk of the traffic has been on 8101 with fire engine number 213 being called from Incident Command.

SUHWEET! Thanks so much for this! 213 isnt Flagstaff, it's Highlands FD, but they all use the same system. All FD is still using VHF right now as well. I think they are patched with the 800mhz system.

No worries. Hope it helps. I'm monitoring this system from Yavapai county, so please bear with me when I'm not entirely familiar with who is on the system and where equipment is being dispatched, etc.

As the day went on, the traffic was clearly centered around a massive drill or exercise. While I didn't catch addresses, it sounds like one of the malls was used as a training ground. Not sure if crews actually went on scene or if it was a "table top"-type response but did hear crew members in SCBA gears.

Also, an update on some of those TGIDs, two were ID'd on the air by the dispatcher, incident commander and some of the players.

TGID 8101: Dispatch and Ops 1.
TGID 8102: Ops 2.

Caught some other un-ID'd talk groups during the exercise traffic as well. If the numbering follows the previously ID'd groups, I'm guessing they are local government and road crew related.

TGIDs 8100, 8200, 8204, 8205, 8208.

Were these being transmitted from the Elden site or an NAU site?

I was there last weekend and heard Flagstaff FD fight a residential fire on 8101. At one point, they identified this particular TG as Flagstaff Fire Ops 1. I have reported this one to RR but it hasn't been posted.
