Default MCSO CH8 Search&Rescue

Has this channel (159.09) been decommissioned? I have not heard anything on it in months.

It is still in use but it is now using narrow band (12.5 kHz).

They started using the input frequency of Search 8, 158.9100 a few months ago.

159.090 still has a CW ID'er on it, so it's still being used. It ID'ed about half an hour ago.

it appears they switched to a DCS of 115 and are not using the CTCSS (PL) of 127.3 any longer. Those of you with scanners with Tone Search should turn that feature on so we can find out for sure.

I'm also curious about the old Parks VHF on 159.390, which, last I heard, was a chit-chat channel for MCSO Lake Patrol 500 deputies as well as Parks and Trails 600 deputies, as it did not have a dispatcher. Is it still in use?

I have caught them using a DCS of 115 on Search 8. If you're still using a PL of 127.3, change it. I still haven't heard any confirmed transmissions on Parks VHF, however. I have heard some 'open mike' like transmissions with CSQ.
