Default Southwest Frequency Directory

I have an old update to the publication, but for the life of me I don't recall what credentials I used to log into their server

Someone want to clue me into what I'm supposed to use for UserID and Password?

Well, to be quite honest, I have not looked at the site for the directory, in a very, very, long time.

It used to be that it was based upon the edition of the directory that one had and you would be referred to a page and to look for a specific word.

According to the website for Southwest Frequency Directory, it says:

"Arizona
Southwest Frequency Directory - 10th Edition

Enter your email address and click "submit" to receive updates to the Southwest Frequency Directory by email. You will also receive a password to access the Publication Updates Archive System for email updates you may have missed."

It then gives you the option to subscribe or unsubscribe.

So, there you have it. Give that a try.

I believe the editor is/was Dan Rollman, and he does moderate a group or two on RR.

I've not seen a new edition in several years.

It's kind of a shame it's not longer produced. I got frequencies out of that book that I have never seen anywhere else.

It wasn't the frequency information alone that made those directories useful, it was the agency information included. The agency information consists of district maps, channel plans and agency unit designators. Somehow Dan and it cohorts managed to get access to this material that took a lot of the mystery out of what was heard. The RR database sorely lacks agency information.

I believe many of the contributors to the SWFD were agency employees who were able to pass the info on anonymously (when it wasn't publicly available) for Dan, et al, to publish. It'd be nice if those in the know could add those details to the wiki pages.
