I haven't had any hits on their Ch A-1 4740 TG or Ch A-4 4737 TG all day. Anybody have any idea where they've gone?

A-4 just came active. It's the first hit I've had all day. And it sounded like it was the middle of a transmission from the dispatcher, giving a subject's description.

So I'm wondering if GPD has decided that only hot calls are going to be voiced, with all non-hot calls going over the MDC's? What about traffic stops, especially by motors who don't have MDC's? Moved to a dedicated, encrypted channel, like A-3 Info?

Guess I'll have to pay attention today. I did hear a dispatch on 4 awhile ago. I think I'll reset my 1 and 4 counters to zero and check them in a day or two. I'm also hearing them on 1 now. Not sure why they were down, but it looks like they're back.

I heard some activity this morning on my way home from work, but the whole night while at work, nothing. I could receive Peoria, and the 2 scan lists are set up nearly identical. Both have Simulcast G & White Tanks. Peoria also has Quintero.

I added Simulcast A to Glendale yesterday due to not hearing them Sunday night-Monday morning.

They're appear to be silent again this evening :/ Perhaps the same reason that Phoenix has taken their hot traiffic to encrypted C-deck channels, Glendale has taken virtually all traffic to their own encrypted channels?

I've noticed that reception of the Simulcast G CC is virtually non-existant at 43rd and Northern Aves. I can get the White Tanks IR and Simulcast A, but no G. If GPD is only on G, and not on A or White Tanks, that may explain part of the problem.

If they are on A and/or White Tanks, then I still don't know what the issue is, other than my other guesses, above. I have to assume that I'm getting Peoria via the White Tanks IR at this point.

The interfering signal seems to have a range of 1/4 to 1/2 mile west of 43rd on Northern. I almost got caught by a motor officer running radar at 47th 'cause, like an idiot, I was paying more attention to my scanner than my driving :/

Anyway, I did hear him stop somebody else. Or at least I think it was him, the signal was typical RWC quality, and much of the transmission was unintelligible. They just don't seem to be very busy anymore on ch's 1 & 4.

Strange, I didn't check the counters, but I was listening to Glendale 1 & 4 last night and this morning without any problems on simulcast G. I haven't tried Glendale on White Tanks.
As for the interference you get, wish I could help. I do know there is something that's always transmitting near 4600 W Northern - maybe a baby monitor? I thought it was the school, but I think it's SW of Apollo somewhere. I don't remember the frequency, I locked it out (or maybe even took it out). I had it in a bank of analog low power channels for fast food, stores, wireless mics, etc. I don't listen to that bank very often anymore.

I reset my counters about 24 hours ago an now they show about 70 hits on 1 and about 50 hits on 4. I just now am listening to them on G with the rubber duckie inside the house with no problems.
Oops, open mic on Fire channel 1.....

Same results here. Plenty of activity on site G control channels in the area of 67th Ave & Glendale Ave.
Only thing I'm truly missing are those Phoenix PD C Deck channels that were previously unencrypted.

I had to lockout 154.600 due to a recurring carrier. I haven't heard any monitors in the 49 or 902 MHz bands. The interfering signal is at a lower level across 900 MHz than it is at 700 & 800 MHz.

I just haven't heard anything from GPD the past several nights. I work at Fry's, and have been babysitting the Valetine's sales tent in the parking lot overnight, in the shadow of that cell tower. Simulcast G is apparantly worthless in the parking lot.

Strange. Maybe this weekend if I can find some time I'll park under the tower and/or in the Fry's lot and see what happens.

Use the analyze feature, and switch the attenuation on & off while scanning the trunked systems; and search the 700 & 800 bands, switching the attenuation on & off. You should see the same results I am.

I added Simulcast A, B and the North Mtn High IR site freqs to my GPD scanlist, and I was able to receive a few GPD transmissions overnight. I don't know which set of freqs finally worked. I did miss a hot call in the area of 59th & Greenway, though.

I only knew about it when GPD came up on PSAP to ask Phoenix for assistance in searching for a subject in that area. They may have already switched to another TG by time I added the extra sites, then heard them on PSAP.
