Does anyone know about MCSO "station numbers"? I hear references to stations generally ["all stations clear"] or specific station numbers, e.g. Station 390.
TIA

They call the two stations by me the 103

103 is not a station number. It is the Arizona code for being out at the station. Officers often abbreviate it to "103," but it is really "Code 103." You will hear this most often on DPS frequencies. Examples: "Flag, 211 - 103;" "Flag, 114 - Code 103 Flagstaff" (this would be for a District 1 unit going out at the Flagstaff station) , and "Tucson, 811 - 103." If a station is not specified it is the home station for that unit. 100 seriers numbers are Kingman units, 200 series for Flagstaff units, 300 series for Holbrook, and so on. In the Phoenix area, if they still have the same numbering system as last Christmas when I was there, there are William (Metro West), Charlie (Metro Central) and Edward (Metro East) units.

MCSO units must pronounce their unit ID followd by "the 103" for the station the unit is assigned to. The code "the 103" applies to every MCSO station.

It's been 36 years since I left Arizona, but I visit family in the Phoenix area 1-2 times per year. Arizona members: if I've described something incorrectly please advise.

Peoria uses 107 for their Pinnacle Peak Public Safety substation/Fire Station 195, in addition to 103 for their main station at 83rd and Cinnabar Aves.
DPS uses "KS" for Knutson Station, which is the Phoenix metro area motor(cycle officer) office. Named for a motor officer who was killed in the line of duty. "West Valley 103" is at 111th and Peoria Aves in Youngtown.
