We can use this thread for all of the Superbowl related communications finds.

A head's up for Thursday. According to the news, F-16's will be doing low level flyovers of the stadium, as practice for enforcing the TFR that the FAA will be issuing for game day.

So, keep an ear out in the 138-144 MHz and 148-150.8 MHz range for air-air between the pilots, and of course the known ATC frequencies for Luke and Sky Harbor.

The news didn't say if they were Air Guard from Davis Monthan, or USAF from Luke.

Watch the Military/US Gov aircraft flying around & private plane flying in/out for super bowl weekend.

The military air refuelers(KC-135) should also be flying.

Select the Arizona receiver feed to watch the Arizona Mode-S/ADS-B 1090MHz traffic in the area.

I would look for some Odd Ball channels to begin to appear in a multitude of bands, based on Prior Super Bowl listings at The Fed Files Blog: Search results for super bowl

I'm on location in Glendale getting ready for the big game, been searching for the new and unusual.

So far I've noted that most of the NFL temporary UHF assignments are running TRBO. A few channels are analog...

I've seen a huge increase on the interop talkgroups on the RWC, hearing TGs that I've never heard being used before. I haven't been able to narrow down what I'm hearing yet. Some appears to be in Scottsdale, probably the Phoenix Open.

I got to see the fly-over. Several others were out as well with cameras, but I seem to be the only one with scanners.
Air-to-air was on 139.700.

There's quite a bit of interference in the 700-800-900 MHz bands. I have to run global attenuation to hear the RWC.

And yes, G and O deck are quite active today. Nothing Superbowl related though.

The Westgate/Gila River Arena/Univ. of Phoenix stadium area normally has quite a bit of DMR (MotoTRBO) useage. 464.7125 has come up on my sweeper quite often while I've been here. 462.1625 just popped as well.

The Department of Energy has one of their radiation sampling helicopters flying over U of P Stadium this afternoon. Didn't hear him on the radios yet...

In addition to the G-deck and O-deck interoperability talkgroups we should be monitoring, here are a few lists of frequencies to add if you don't already have them in your scanner:

Federal Disaster Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Interoperability Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Low power and itinerants at the bottom of the page:
Public Safety Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Arizona DEMA Tac frequencies:
764.05625
764.06875
775.99375
794.05625
794.06875
805.99375

And these four frequencies that may be known as "SPTAC's" (all unconfirmed):
765.15625 SPTAC 1
765.21875 SPTAC 2
765.65625 SPTAC 3
765.71875 SPTAC 4

Don't forget to search the federal bands, and do a "wildcard" search (or the Uniden equivalent) of the RWC for new talkgroups.

I will most likely be working noon-6pm on game day :/

oh my god what's the world coming to?
ok what's radiological monitoring helis doing of there and what does that have to do with a high cost sport event?

are these frequencies digital or analog?
by the way ever considering private security companies to monitor or who they hire to patrol there?

It seems that UHF TRBO is the preferred system(s). The stadium security company has brought in systems from the other NFL Stadiums they cover including for the downtown area. Other groups have leased systems (the vendor being on site) that are also TRBO.

I live in Mesa not sure what I can pick up but if the Radio Ref gods will solve my data base issue I will put in for a live feed. Been waiting for them to solve my problem for 2 weeks now.

Three Customs and Border Protection (CBP) helicopters and a CBP Citation were doing some familiarization flights around U of P Stadium on Saturday afternoon. They were also checking out their airborne video transmissions from one of the helicopters. 136.375 MHz AM was active with their air-to-air comms.

You haven't been paying attention for the last 14 years then. The Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, FBI, Secret Service, CBP and more have all been at every Super Bowl game since 2001, since they have all been designated as National Security Special Events.

Slightly O.T., CBP helicopter OMAHA297 back in orbit around the stadium for the Pro Bowl today. Some FBI activity as well...
