Which scanner to monitor Mesa PD

What is the cheapest scanner I can go with that will monitor Mesa PD. I am going to eventually get the 436 hp, but do not have the $400 bucks right now. Thanks for any help!

It appears that Ham Radio Outlet (hamradio.com I believe, or you can drive over to their store at 43rd and Peoria Aves, northeast corner) has Whistler WS-1098's on sale for $319.95 right now.

It's unlikely that you'll find a much lower price than that.

Just a tip, I got an email from whistler about 10 days ago that they were having a special sale on RECONDITIONED WS1098’s. Probably as good as a new one but I suspect the above mentioned price is for one of these units as vendors were given first pick.
