Default Morning News story on Bentonville MotoTRBO

I'm a reporter working on a story for The Morning News about Bentonville's recent transition to the MotoTRBO system. I'm looking for some local scanner listeners to talk to about the change.

Please e-mail me at cfort@nwaonline.net.

Thanks for your help.

Pretty cool the comments that have been posted on the NWAONLINE web page.

The Morning News: The News Source for Northwest Arkansas

put digital radios in the search box.

Amazing brings up a good thought - where is the union in all this. They should be throwing a fit.

Well, one could dream. Lots of southern MO fire departments are going union,
I just figured a progressive area like Bentonville would have already been there.

Ouch.

So much for interoperability.

It is one way.

MotoTRBO radios can talk on other conventional / trunked systems.

However, not the other way around.

Find the nearest dumpster and throw them in it. Trash. What good is a non-P25 compliant radio to anyone? That radio is designed for business use, not public safety. That's what it will affect our safety...
