I am listening to Marion County Sheriff, MCSO,
FCC Callsign WPME650 Details , in the "Tune" mode on my PSR-500.
I have noticed when there is communications on that freq that for a very brief moment I notice "VC: 1sTGID:13200." Plus at the same time I am seeing it flash to TGID 13232 and some other trunk related info. Awhile back I heard some radio techs testing on AWIN Troop I Common Channel for the Marion County Sheriff. As far as I know, the MCSO do not have AWIN radio's in their vehicles yet. Now it is possible that with some recent upgrades to Dispatch consoles, they may have very limited if any access to AWIN on the Dispatch console. I have Wilcards on AWIN and have yet to hear any traffic or seen an active TGID labeled 13200. And an AWIN tower is just North of my location. So any new TGID on Wildcard would show up. Is it possible that could be a future AWIN TGID for the MCSO that is somehow being transmitted over their Conventional UHF Dispatch freq? Or a MotoTRBO TGID? Being that a Sheriff in Newton County has gone MotoTRBO and this new MCSO Sheriff is making some changes in the department slowly. He started in January of this year. He may be gettig things set up to upgrade their radios.
Can somebody also make me understand in simple terms how the "Tune" mode actually works on the PSR-500?
I have the "Mode"set as "au" with the freq set at 460.450000. It fashes alternately from Tune to >PAUSED< in the upper left corner and the ZD shows in the upper right corner of the display with an UP arrow above the ZD.
There is no known trunk system associated with this FCC License or FRN number. Just this one freq.
When the freq is active, the second line alternates showing it's "FM" with a "DC:132." I understand the DC and FM part. Just giving all info that might be needed to minimize questions to analize with so that suggestions and comments will prevail over input questions.
