Default US Coast Gaurd

Where does the USCG river conditions broadcast transmit from? It was on marine ch 22 at 2am it said it was the USCG Memphis TN sector for lower Mississippi river and Arkansas river. Well to get to what I'm asking is do they have a repeater or something because I was in Hartford AR when I heard it which is no where near the river and the broadcast was crystal clear on my radio. If anyone can answer that for me.

Thanks,
Chris

USCG has transmitters in New Orleans, Natchez, Vicksburg, Memphis, St. Louis, and a few other sites along the MS River. They have awesome output and great coverage. They also have Posts in New Orleans, Natchez, Memphis, St. Louis that I know of... They also Operate in the Hot Springs area with the USACoE. They recently did a joint ops multiple disaster drill here and it was cool listening to them and watching the Dauphin Helo buzzing around. Some of the transmitters are co-located with CoE, and other Federal radio equipment.

Just remember, these were last updated prior to 2002 and with Rescue 21 have likely changed [locations - moved, added, deleted]

It's a good reference, search the Internet for Rescue 21 and keep an eye out for Newspaper articles [there were some good ones on the East Coast that also contained Powerpoint info]
