LRPD TRS - Something's afoot

My scanning buddy got a call from a friend on Little Rock Police Department. He said they're all having to bring in their radios before their shift starts. Not being a technical guy, that's all he knows.

He just said that if they don't bring them in, 'they won't work'.

Anyone know what they're doing? Changing control freqs? Rebanding?

Sounds like rebanding or an upgrade of some kind. CC changes don't require a "touch" of the radio as the CC's rotate and the radios automatically handle this.
