They likely dispatch or page on the analog and then the responders use the new digital system to talk after that. This is the case in many places that have gone to digital radio systems.

For about $1,200 it will decode those...but most people don't consider it since it's around $1,200 and more than they can afford. I can't speak for it personally, however; never used one.

Sorry no the AOR will NOT do NexEDGE trunking, or MotoTRBO Trunking. It will do only NXDN and DMR Conventional.

NexEDGE is Kenwood's term for NXDN. milf was specifying that the AOR will not do NXDN (or NexEDGE) TRUNKING. NXDN conventional (non-trunked) it says it will receive.

Also, the AOR AR-DV1 is not a "scanner", it is a wide-band receiver.
