Nice catch Look! Thanks for sharing. I heard there was some 18s at YHZ today, that would explain it.

Edit: Got a pic of a C-135 type plane headed SW. there were no commercial planes showing near where he was spotted so it's a good chance it was a Mercury.

E-6B [163918] heading home from Stuttgart. C/S was ROCKY 22.

Hey guys, anyone catch any traffic around 12 local, I heard what definitely sounded like a B-1 or B-52 talking to a tanker, he mentioned something about this being "Sasquatch country" lol.. and requested they push up to 310+.

Also, just a note of interest, I just had 2 KC-135s show up on the box.. BLUE74 and 75.. Maybe some random AR action later, if they bring someone back with them.

Thanks for the reply, metal! Always good to get an ID on a plane.

Hope you're right Ian! If my quick research was accurate these were an AZ and a UT based tanker. That's outside the norm for us and our Pease/Bangor/Pittsburgh usuals.

If I could choose one thing (other than position) to add to the info it'd be heading. Tough to know if they're picking someone up or if we've missed em.

Yea, wish I knew which way they were headed, it sounded like they were off to my south east by what I could hear, but the sounds can be deceiving in my back yard, and they're doesn't seem to be any contrails today so I didn't get any kind of a visual.

You're referring to hearing engines, right?

Also AR-20 has a 60 minute reservation starting...now.

And one 45 min one for tomorrow @ 9:15 AM.

I was yes, and sweet on the reservation, I'll keep my ears on.

I heard a REACH flight check in with Moncton at 35 I think he said a few ago, so hopefully he wasn't the reservation..and now I just heard him again, requesting an alt. change, didnt hear what level he wanted.

That was probably RCH225, a KC-135R (59-1450) at FL380 in Northern Maine.

My dad spotted what he thought were two F/A-18s over Sackville a bit ago, maybe they were headed to YHZ for tonight.

When they arrived Saturday, they were at Greenwood. I would think that would be where they 'parked' but I don't know for sure. I was watching the Halifax Airport webcam thinking I might see them...I didn't.

Default MAZDA Flight May 6th, 2013

Some of the conversation from today's MAZDA Flight.
Pretty sure they were 4 F-15s and two (BLUE) tankers.
The Fighters seemed to fly down the Bay of Fundy so I wasn't able to locate them visually.

I think first Rez today was for SHUCK 80 E-3 who had to stop at Bangor to fuel up eastbound around the time of that first Rez.Departed Bangor a few hours later for EGUN.
Guess his tanker cancelled..
Will see what shows up for the Tuesday morn Rez.
Nice audio logs of MAZDA flights inbound from Spain or Lajes... I think they landed somewher up that way..
Liked the talk about Bay of Fundy..

234.700 active for a sec just now...

Edit:

Hmm, I may have heard "Code 1".. Might be a fire frequency sneaking over for some reason.

Wasn't your imagination Darryl...VIMY11/12 (CF-18s) were out playing again this afternoon (1650Z) They were using 234.700MHZ.
They eventually ended up doing a battle break over the tower at CYQI. I tried to get a picture but ended up stuck in traffic as everybody slowed down to get a look. I had to watch from afar as they passed over the road ahead, did a touch-n-go on runway 024 and then disappeared. Arghhh...
