Ha!! Thank you!! I was hoping I could trust my mil air frequencies to not be neighbours to any fire page out freqs. Guess I must have heard "Mode 1" like I hoped.

Default VIMY11 Flight

Just a heads up for those in Nova Scotia...The two CF-18s (VIMY11 Flight) that have been in the area for the past week are up again. They are coordinating with Sidecar on 234.700MHZ as of 1610Z
RTB (Greenwood) at 1723Z.

That would be a C-17A, 06-6164 from the 60th AMW Travis AFB. Yeah...crappy weather in Yarmouth as well.
Hmmm...looks like he brought a friend...RCH550, C-17A 06-6154..also from Travis. FL360

If I had checked my sources earlier...they were traveling together. The left Britain this morning.
Reported "Chatting interplane on 319.400 with Reach 550?"

Ahh ok. Seems like there have been a surprising amount of Travis planes (2 KC-10s in one day a few days ago for instance) lately considering the distance away it is..

Shhh.. Don't say that too loud, or they will hear ya and stop coming

That's pretty cool they sort of traveled together. I'd love to see a few C-17s in formation like those F-15s a while back.

Yea, I wonder if they don't sneak through unnoticed more often then we think. The random KC's in the middle of the night always make me wonder.

You guys sound almost as optimistic as I do some days. I'm back to work tomorrow...the whole time I was on vacation I never actually saw a single refueling...just a C-130 take off from my local airport. Guaranteed there will be some fighters overhead tomorrow...or in the near future when I'm at work. Oh well...nature of the beast I guess.

As predicted.. I think I just heard OTIS flight check in with Moncton in the Cape Breton area. Not that anyone will be able to see them lol.

Was OTIS the pair of KC-130s that just passed by at Angels 22? Dang, nice and low, woulda been good viewing, and probably in formation for a pic too.

Tanker is a Maineac (58-0098) and the C-17 is Hungarian, callsign 'BRK32'.
So here is some of the audio from the BRK32 refueling tonight. http://audioboo.fm/boos/1385232

Just heard someone calling SHUCK82 I think he said, on 311.00.

edit: NM, same voice requesting customs, must be going to Bangor.

That was definitely SHUCK82 (71-1407 E-3B). He was near NB/PEI at the top of the hour and still hearing him at 0222Z. And I suspect he was our receiver for tonight. He is descending to FL011 at 02:29Z near Bangor. Foiled again!
