Referring to my previous post...This story details where the tanker was returning from. The Aviationist Italian Air Force Tornado attack planes attend “Bold Quest 2013″ at Cherry Point
Not sure if the 3 Tornados (MM7071-6-12) were with him or not. Keep an eye out for the C-27J which is due back on June 27th. Also, IAM4676 & MM62175 (C130J)

Default RNAF Tanker over NS

Heads up...There is a Royal Netherlands tanker overhead NS at this time, FL110 near Halifax (T-235). Coincidentally, I'm getting unknown A-A comms on 349.3000mhz
Hmmm...it disappeared off my screen really quick...now Greenwood freq is active. (The previous freq, 349.300 is llisted as Schooner Ops)1130Z

Confirmed VIMY11 (CF-18s) is in the Greenwood area.1138Z

'Richc' from the UK group explained the B-2 Spirit mission from today: "It was a Polo Hat Ex, we've been expecting it for a few weeks now (or atleast i have). It was under the 2Q event planning and around this time. Bit more than a GPM.
Involved atleast 8 x B52s, 2 x B2s, 5-8 x KC135s, 4(6) x E-6Bs, 1 x E4B and was an End to End Ex including simulated nuclear strikes on US targets which rendered them unavailable to the usual RCH traffic." And now we know.

Whoa man. That's cool. Was that the reason for all the MILSTAR and Skywatch and phonetic alphabet coolness last night?

Here is a portion of the audio from last evening's B-2 Spirit rendezvous at CYQI.
Oddly enough, I am posting only the preamble before the actual refueling as it was much more interesting.

Just awesome. Thanks. I only heard the second half of part 1 since they were distant until then. I went to bed at the start of part 2 so I wouldn't have heard it. Great job look!

Look forward to it.

Did anyone give any thought as to why gas was so scarce? Did one of the KC-135s have to abort? I got the impression they went from a two ship to a solo and an RTB as a contingency. Also there was another flight mentioned too (forgot the callsign), wonder if that was the B-52s..

Not too sure about the gas situation. But...I heard FURY12/13 mentioned. Wondered who they may have been.
