It's an 8-segment co-linear housed in 1/2" PVC water line.

Ah yes, I think you told me before. I attempted to make one out of some copper tubing and coax a while back, but never got it all together, the tubing didn't work for soldering like I thought it would.

This particular version was made completely from sections of RG-6 press-fit together. Not a bit of solder used. Stuffed into the pvc pipe, glued the ends and weatherized the connectors...should last awhile.

Getting com's on Primary(341.75), and just heard ETHYL55 request 240 from 28, maybe an unscheduled AR?

Just heard SHUCK82 talking to Moncton as well.

I'm hearing anything now, it was just faint one time. Woot to being able to go upstairs for max range listening vs the apartment where I would have 20 seconds warning for surprise tanking. Anyone hear anything or see anything?

Dude, you need to get an antenna outside!

No more com's heard.. yet. But I've got 3 AF birds on my box currently.

edit: I heard someone talking to Moncton saying they would staying south of NFLD heading West.. sounded like the same voice from the SHUCK flight, but I cant be sure.

C-5 the E-3 and someone else?

Also I'm ordering a USB thing later this week I think. Man I'd love to know when stuff like that Galaxy was close so I don't have to stare at the sky like a weirdo for 15 mins when I get an email

Right now the best I can do is turn every plane frequency on and hope they speak while close so I can judge the reception strength.

It was the ETHYL, it didn't do an alert for some reason.

Hehehe. I mean that's not saying I'm not a plane weirdo, lord knows I am, but I don't need to advertise it. I haven't found the weirdo in our new neighbourhood and its been 3 months since we moved in. I've got real concerns it might be me!

Absolutely nothing over CYQI...must have been off-track. Plenty of signal strength but no comms, no visual.

Hmm, strange.. I wonder what they are up too. That one com about staying south of Newfoundland struck me as odd, and when the SHUCK flight was talking to Moncton he didn't give an END AR request, he just requested to come up from 210 to 280, and the ETHYL was coming down.

LOL Darryl, just accept it and move on I did long ago.

Sounds like some unscheduled refueling is going on right now over Halifax.

I didn't hear who it was but it did not sound like a Reach flight.

Heard them as well, no visual. I heard COBRA55 talking to Moncton, looks like he is an RC-135 according to PP.
