Thanks for the info as usual Mark, regardless of results Now I'm wondering who needed a 3 hour window. Maybe we will get some surprise Bones or something cool tomorrow..

Hey Ian, nope it was a legit one I think, GAF (and a number) as the callsign, and 16+01 (just like they paint on their Typhoons etc) as the serial. Were broadcasting posit too. Just looked to be a white A340 with lettering in pic I found but still kinda neat.
Here's their info, found it in my email:
ADS: 3EB1A6 REG: 16 01 FLT: GAF883 LAT: 43.99448 LON: -65.98983 ALT: 37000 HDG: 59.9 SPD: 608.0 TYP: A343

Hi guys,

He was in my area (US Mid-Atlantic) yesterday evening (time is local) -

Busy this morning so no time to dig through my older logs but I believe I've had it going into Dulles (KIAD) before.

Cool! Also we just had a NE bound An-124 pass right over Halifax before it cleared off here. I added those (and, although I never expect to see one, An-225s) the other day so it was cool to see it pay off with an alert.

I couldn't MLAT because there were only two Sharers picking him up.
Odd that you were not picking him up yourself.

I wasn't at the time I wrote that but got them shortly after. My PC and antenna are in a window at the NE side of my house so I don't have the best range to the South.

Ahh ok. Phew. There was an Alpha Jet around earlier. I'll be interested to see how often they're around us now that I've programmed em in.

They are around fairly often, or seemed to be when I was living in Enfield. I haven't noticed lately, since I took them off my list of alerts.

Ive tried to read how to use plane plotter and it is like Chinese to me. Is it really that hard to watch a live radar that shows Military flights aswell?

Hey Res21cue,

What are you having trouble with, first time set up, or just understanding the read me and information on their site? It shouldn't be too hard, but it does take some patience and a bit of finessing. I have to say, even being a techie, finding the right settings in PP was overwhelming the first time I opened it up

I can help you out if you like, send me a PM or email me : ne1c4nsc4n@gmail.com

New MC-130J still at St Johns I believe as EGUN evacuating most of their aircraft to ETAR
due to threat of bad wx headed Southern UK way so expect maybe that new one may
stay put for a while up there.

Cheers!
