Default Sydney Police?

When will Sydney Police join the NSWDGRN? When they join, will they encrypt their talkgroups once they abandon the conventional freqs?

Not sure when - but it is likely that the existing 468MHz frequencies will simply be integrated into the GRN for exclusive use on the Police Talkgroups. This is how Motorola did it on the Vic MMR.

Yep its called ESO10 and its been happening for years. just seems a lot more people have discovered it and are now listening to it. it was around long before the P25 GRN came about.

CH W has been linked to that paticular TG for quite a number of years, nearly since the inception of CH X (the analog liason ch in sydney)

cheers
Matt
