Default Lower Hunter Digital

The northern half of Channel N is still utilising Analogue - however due to the way the sites are patched together into the digital, I am finding that when I am on the Central Coast I can hear cars from Muswellbrook and Taree booming in on 468.1875 and 469.2625 (ie 200km away). Enjoy it while it lasts because encryption is reported to be around the corner.

These are the frequencies listed on the ACA database.

467.8500 DIGITAL - Channel N - Lower Hunter - Dungog
468.1000 DIGITAL - Channel N - Lower Hunter - Bulahdelah
468.1875 DIGITAL - Channel N - Lower Hunter - Mt Heaton & New Lambton Heights
468.3750 DIGITAL - Channel N - Lower Hunter - Raymond Terrace
468.4125 DIGITAL - Channel N - Lower Hunter - Wollombi
468.5500 DIGITAL - Channel N - Lower Hunter - Mt Allyn
468.7125 DIGITAL - Channel N - Lower Hunter - Maitland, Cessnock, Wollombi, Mt Heaton, Newcastle
469.0750 DIGITAL - Channel N - Lower Hunter - Raymond Terrace, Nelson Bay, Bulahdelah, Mt Allyn, Nerong
469.2625 DIGITAL - Channel N - Lower Hunter - Mt Sugarloaf
469.3125 DIGITAL - Channel N - Lower Hunter - Maitland

No he means encryption. Having said that, there has been no timetable set due to technical issues.

Default Lower Hunter Digital

To answer your question Digital Encryption Within 12 months is what the rumours suggest. In the Lower Hunter they are concentrating on getting the digital system up and running, then eliminating any problems and dead spots. I understand that Mt Richardson near Dungog got switched on yesterday for digital.
