tailgaters
How do you handle tailgaters?
And why do they do it?

Drop down a few gears to slow down without brake lights usually gives them the hint.
As for why they do it, typically it is because they are without a doubt a bigger ********* than I.

MOVE TO THE RIGHT. It's not your road, some of us want to go FASTER. When I follow YOU for 15 miles, and you are doing 5 miles UNDER the speed limit and NEVER look in your rearview mirror, what do you expect me to do to get your attention, short of PITTING you?
Yes, that Excursion on your bumper with the 12 antennas and the million candlepower driving lights is me. Move the hell over.

Not for very long, because I WILL pass you. And I don't make faces, in a state where everyone carries a firearm, its best not to.

So a firearm makes you a tough guy on the road? That makes you an irresponsible gun owner.

Actually no, it makes me sane to realize that you don't make faces at the other guy, who might be carrying and ISN'T a retired LEO.

Oh dear, another road rage incident looking for a place to happen, another king of the road with a death wish. "In a box under a bridge" says a lot about you but you forget REAL trolls don't live in boxes.

com501, you are the perfect example, of a "tailgater"! You should have your license revoked, untill you learn to obey the rules of the road.
If a "tailgater" hits someone in the rear, it is most likely gonna be the "tailgaters" fault.
com501, you stated "MOVE TO THE RIGHT. its not your road".
Whose road, do you think it is?

If I'm tail gated by some unknown random person that is in a hurry to go some where I just let them pass me as long they pass me safely. Don't you worry at times when your driving a some person goes around you when their is a car coming closer in the other land coming towards you.

The 'Rules of the Road' in most states is you drive to the RIGHT, and allow faster traffic (no matter how fast - you aren't a cop to enforce speed laws) to pass. On a two lane road, again, in most states, when you acquire a pre-determined amount of cars behind you, you are required to pull over and allow traffic to pass. Otherwise you are obstructing traffic. I wrote almost twice as many tickets for obstructing than I ever did for tailgating. A lot to trucks, but many more to individuals 'camping out' in the fast lane, no matter HOW many people passed them on the right.
So, it isn't your road. Move to the right, even if you are the only damn car on the road for a hundred miles, drive in the right hand lane. ESPECIALLY at night. Guess which lane that wrong way drunk driver with no headlights is going to be in?

No, you dolt, it isn't. We have to share the road, don't hog it. Move to the damn right, quit worrying about people driving faster than you, its not your problem.
Since I started driving in 1969, I have NEVER had a ticket, for anything, and have never had an accident, either. I have, however, crashed an airplane due to engine failure. But that's another thread.

Oh no, another pig who earned the title. Too bad you weren't a cop/pig during the Viet Nam protests, you would have had fun busting heads. Duck, here comes some chemical mace.

com501. In my post above I stated that "you should have your license revoked, untill you learned to obey the rules of the road".
I should have stated that "you should have your license revoked.".
