Default Pi with Darkice setup - how to confirm

I have set up the node per instructions found here:

Darkice service installed and configured.

How can I confirm the connection is good on the node side? It should have been streaming now for 15 minutes, but the site shows feed is still 'In Transition'?

jackd installed, error is gone. Looks to load correctly now.

However the sound is extremely low. But the feed is up!
