Green back is closed between aubrun folsom and american river canyon... anyone one know whats going on??

I asked the same question on Twitter. Answer I got was a reckless driver head-on into another vehicle. Accident investigation team was responding.

Dunno if it was fatal (although I would guess since a team is responding).

Notes from my reporter who was on the scene last night.

Folsom PD say the 20-year-old Yuba City man who caused the accident had several bottles of prescription pills in his car, including vicodin.

They are looking into whether he was high on prescription drugs. This would turn into a DUI case. He will likely face wreckless driving charges.

The suspect's car exploded, but he was ejected before that happened. He has minor head lacerations.

A 52 year old Folsom woman in the hospital.

She is in serious condition, and has broken bones. Officer Michelle Beattie says it's possible she will have a permanent disability because of the injury to one of her legs.

I was talking with a Folsom PD officer tonight and they had Placer County Sheriff (Falcon 30) come in and assisted them with some aerial photography of the accident scene.
