Deputy shot in back during 998.

Sounds like a Century Station Deputy.

Prarie and 168 sounds the location.

5 K-9's enroute.

Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like the suspect is down. CHP has canceled all back up too.

Deputy was shot once in the back. Deputy is responsive and talking at the hospital.

i believe it was from Lawndale substation (Lennox Dispatch)

Default Deputy Shot in Shoulder in Lawndale
According to TV news Web sites the deputy was transported by ambulance to Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Carson and released early this morning. The, as yet, unidentified suspect died at the scene.
