Default LA County Sheriff's Deputy Shot in Florence

Freq: 483.2625

Just happened in Florence, the deputy is part of an anti-gang unit and was on patrol.

It was reported on the scanner that there were 2 to 3 suspects with guns (suspected gang members) and a large area is cordoned off. There are dozens of deputies in the area and 3 sheriff's/LAPD helicopters. If the suspects are still in the cordoned off area, there's no way they'll escape.

They haven't reported the condition of the officer yet but he was alive while en-route to a local hospital.

Hope he'll be okay. It's also being reported live on TV.

Edit: 2230: they switched frequencies to A-TAC 4 - 484.1125

Four parolee's in custoy others still outstanding. I'm sure someone will rollover on the remaing suspect. There's no honor amonst thieves! In the coming days I'm sure the local gang bangers will wish they hadn't shot the deputy.

Good deal. Glad they are getting these guys. Yeah it doesnt surprise that they would be the type of parolee's who beg they are a changed person then do the sob story to get out on parole then go right back to criminal activity. Thanks for posting the info.

First, I'm glad the officer is doing better and will recover.

Second, I'm glad these scum bags were caught. I'm sure they'll spend many years in prison for attempted
murder on a peace officer.
