Default need help programing BCD396T for upcoming road trip

Hello All,

I have had my bcd396t for the last 11 months. I have been frustrated several times trying to program it. I'm giving it one more shot. If anyone is willing to help me out I would be happy to pay them for their time.

I'm taking a long road trip this weekend to southern cal and palm springs and wanted to program my scanner with CHP freq's to listen to on the way down and back.... I am located in Roseville, CA. Is anyone available to help me out?

Thanks in advance,

TB

Cool

Here is a file I had for a while for the entire State.
You need to lock unlock what you need from the file.It may not be current or complete but should get you started.

You can use freeScann to download the section the way you like it quite easy and next time you may want to give more then a week notice.
Attached Files
File Type: usd 04 CHP.usd (14.9 KB, 14 views)

Default Thanks for the input........

sfdf,

Thanks for the list of freq's. I currently use Freescan, I think I need someone with a little more knowledge than I currently have?! I would be willing to drop off my scanner for a couple of weeks with someone if they were willing to program it for me with CHP and maybe a few other local sheriff's and PD's in the area's that I travel. Also I would be willing to pay them for their time. I had my scanner sitting in the closet and really forgot about it becasue the last couple of times I tried to upload data to it I couldn't figure it out.

Thanks again,

TB

I am not a Uniden scanner user, but I am a programmer and understand CHP radio quite well. I just got back from a road trip myself to southern California that included I5, hwy99, US101 and many other major highways. I monitored with ease from county to county. I also programmed county sheriffs and other law enforcement, but that is a TON of work.

I am in Fair Oaks.

Matt

Thanks so much for the post, I have had it with this scanner. I'm ready to kick it to the curb....... I think I just need someone to sit down and show me what I need to know and what I dont. I appreciate the offer, a local guy has offered to help me program it however he doesnt have the same make and model that we do. If you wouldn't mind if he is able to program it for me. I would like to meet up at some point in the near future while I'm in your neck of the woods and have you show me the basics?!

Thanks,

Todd

I have several 396T's and can clone one for you if you would like. I can also teach you how to use it. I am in Natomas but can go anywhere in the Sacramento/Placer area.
