The other radio(PRO92) says VACAVILLE TRUNK-VACAPATROL3 (I.D.432)
i said huh?
So i switched it around and put the PRO92 on conventional SOLANO SO and put the BCT15 in to VACAVILLE TRUNK and ...WOW...SAME THING.
i mixed it up with all the radios on my desk capable of recieving VacaTrunk to do so - and all my other radios to do Solano SO conventional ...WOW...SAME THING!
so...i guess it s safe to say that the sheriff is experimenting on being on VacaTrunk...?
maybe to be permanent...?
just an FYI!

I suspect they were using an interoperability device that patches both systems together.
In Sacramento there are two interoperability systems routinely used.
A) CommLink
B) RIOS ( Folsom Police Communications Van )
Folsom Website - Caommunications, Technology, and Interoperability Section
The CommLink connects multiple conventional and mulitple TRS 800MHz users together patching agencies together that normally cannot communicate with each other.
B) RIOS - A is a computer controlled inter-op setup that hooks up portable radios together on the fly. A simple, quick and efficient system that can be modified very quickly to connect radio systems together.
