I'm not familiar with the program, but it's called "vox2file"? Then maybe one could surmise that it's VOX, or voice activated. There may be an adjustment for vox hang time. It's not unusual for a vox circuit to cut off the first syllable of a sentence, or transmission, but it should hang on long enough for the following words to come through without chopping. If there's an adjustment for hang time, try increasing the delay to a few seconds.
