I think I must have generated some confusion so let me try to clarify some things.
As far as I know, for the area offices I mentioned above, there are three different numbers that are related to a specific CHP area office. The first I will call the "office designator" which is the prefix to an officer's callsign. The second appears to be a radio code number for the physical office building (I'll call it "office radio code"). The third is the "office number" used in various CHP publications that can be found on the CHP website. I have
only ever heard the "office designator" and the "office radio code" used over the air. I have
never heard the "office number" used over the air.
Below is a table of these three numbers for the Arrowhead and San Bernardino offices:
Code:
Office Designator Office Radio Code Office Number
Arrowhead 101 201 865
San Bernardino 75 111 860
An example of radio traffic using the office designator and office radio code:
"
75-103, 10-19 for pairup."
"Copy, 75-103 enroute to 111 for pairup."
"
101-12, 10-15 with subject. Enroute to
913."
