interrupting? well...im aloud to do that aren't I ? being that its my scanner. my feed. but anyway, that was about an hour ago or so when i heard that whistling sound. have had a-tac 2 programmed in my scanner. first time i ever heard it come up though.

also. see. my scanner which is a uniden bc350c. i have my private bank which for the most part has frequencies i want to hear. then there is the police button, fire/ems button. when i let the scanner run through the private bank. there is usually not a problem. i may hold it on something im listening to. or i may not. now when i click on the police button. most of the frequencies come up sounding like this...beepbeepbeeepbeep. and it will stay on that freq. so then thats another time when i will click the police button again or search to get through the frequencies that dont work. i don't really want to go through all these and lock them out. being that a lot of times i actually pick something up on them. also. it's fun sometimes to follow something. so instead of just letting the scanner run through the frequencies. maybe i like to find something. if its good. follow it when they change frequencies and what not. hold it. and enjoy.

I don't know if you are aloud, but you are certainly allowed.

Pushing the Police button is going to search through pre-programmed police bands, You are better off using the database here and programming the channels you want to hear. (IMO)

The beep beep beep is normal activity from the LASD radio. There are plenty of posts here about what the beeping is all about.

well you got me with the aloud, allowed bit.

as far as programming channels i want to hear. well like i had said. i have those in my private bank. 50 of them. in the police database i can program 20 or 30 in there. most of those are taken up as well.
