Default On the air !

I want to thank pddispatcher for his help. He was instrumental in hooking me up with a power cord for my CB. We hooked it up today in my Jeep and it works awesome! We were getting SWR readings of 1 to 2 max. We have great reception and transmit. Now I am really excited about getting my Technician Class Ham Radio License and radio next month.

Sure, I will post some pictures later today as long as I don't get forced up for a second shift at the facility I work at... One thing I can reccomend is using one of the smaller CB's. I have a Cobra 29 LTD Classic which is a larger CB radio. Due to restraints of where mine could be mounted in my 02 Wrangler due to air bags etc. and wanting to save the center dash area for my mobile dual band HAM Radio, I had to mount the CB under the glove box to the far left on the passanger side. This large of a radio takes up a lot of room. It does work out quite well other than this though. If you have no intent of mounting a HAM Radio then there is also a perfect spot to mount the CB on the dashboard...

Budog,

I noticed that the link has a comma instead of a period. I just put in a period (dot) and it works.

Good site with some useful antenae mounts. My situation and mount was totally different due to the fact I have a full Wilderness Rack. I attached my Antenae mount to one of the rear rack support bars. But I can post some picks of it and how I mounted the radio inside of the Jeep...
