driving from CT to AK

Hello,
I am driving from CT to AK and taking a rather leisurely route. I have no intentions of packing a cell phone and will eventually walk for aurora photos. I just want to know about CH/9 CH/19 coverage between CT, to the mountains, up, (what happens in Canada?) then to the interior. I am good for -40 for 2 weeks (I pack food). I have a NOAA beacon but that is is "not for a flat tire". Please advise. Thank-You for your consideration. I forgot. THIS IS TOO COOL!

As for Canada....we don't use CB radios because it angers the roving packs of Penguins and will cause them to attack us in our igloos......sorry, i could not resist that one, you will find fairly good coverage in the major corridors but things will get quiet once you get out off the beaten trail, if you travel through Ontario you will most likley be travelling on or near a major corridor all the way to Manitoba, you can expect truck traffic chatter on and off, it will take approx 26 hours of driving to get from eastern Ontario to western Ontario near Manitoba, (big province) can't help you with other provinces though....good luck and enjoy your trip as it sounds like a good life experience.
